Get out the House

Get out: The house is a custom map for Half-Life: Alyx, made on the Source 2 engine. This project was realized both to develop my skills in level design and level art for Virtual Reality, but also to familiarize myself with creation for horror games, in perspective for PARAXIAL.

Mechanics

Inspired by Resident Evil 2 Remake, the level requires exploration and backtracking in order to unlock gradually all the stages of the level, wheater by finding a key to open a locked door, or by switching off the electricity of a room to avoid being electrocuted, while trying to avoid as much as possible the entities that roam in the building.

Going throug the kitchen stuff to resolve a puzzle

Taking adventage of the Source 2 engine and virtual reality, the game offers an immersive house and mechanics are not limited to simple interaction, like having to throw an heavy object on a window to break it and open the path to the next room.

The player breaks by accident a glass panel when trying to shoot its first zombie.
